Principal’s Message

Welcome to McCoy Elementary! If you’ve found yourself here, it means you want to learn more about our incredible school—and we couldn’t be more excited to share our story with you. McCoy is home to a dedicated team of professional educators who prioritize students in everything we plan and accomplish. Our commitment to building strong relationships between teachers, students, parents, and the wider community is unwavering. Together, we create a supportive and inspiring environment where students can thrive academically and socially.

Over the past four years, I have had the absolute joy and honor of serving as the principal of McCoy Elementary. This school, our students, and the entire community are truly my love and passion. Seeing our students grow, succeed, and support one another has been the most rewarding experience of my career.

I am especially proud that McCoy has maintained a B grade for the past four years (2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-2025). This steady climb is a testament to the dedication of our students, teachers, and families. By working together, we continue to AIM HIGH AND FLY HIGHER, pushing the boundaries of excellence every year.

As we embark on another school year, let’s remember that education is the most powerful tool we can use to change the world, as Nelson Mandela so wisely said. With unity, passion, and perseverance, we will continue making a difference—one student at a time!

Let’s keep inspiring, collaborating, and transforming the world together. McCoy Elementary is ready to soar!

Best Regards,

Eric Unger
