HEALTH ROOM
The Health Room is staffed by a Health Room Attendant. Florida Statute prohibits the use of the term “nurse” when referring to a Health Room Attendant.
Students who become ill during school hours should be sent to the Health Room with a pass. The Health Room Attendant will evaluate the student and contact the parent as to whether the student should return to class or be sent home.
In the event of an injury, an Incident Report will be filled out by the person witnessing the injury.
Parents must complete a medication form for any student who receives medication at school on a regular basis.
